Choosing a dentist is about more than finding someone who can perform a procedure. You should feel confident that your dentist will listen to your concerns, explain your options clearly, and recommend treatment based on your oral health, comfort, and long-term goals.
At South Florida Dental Care, Dr. Leonardo Frydman and Dr. Gabriela Cohen combine advanced training with a personal, patient-centered approach. Together, they provide comprehensive dental care services for individuals and families in Hollywood, Pembroke Pines, Hallandale Beach, Aventura, and surrounding South Florida communities.
Their combined experience allows our practice to address routine dental needs as well as complex restorative, prosthodontic, implant, and cosmetic concerns. Patients receive thoughtful guidance and a treatment plan developed around their individual needs rather than a one-size-fits-all recommendation.

Dr. Leonardo Frydman is a prosthodontist with advanced education in restoring and replacing teeth. His training and clinical experience allow him to evaluate not only an individual tooth but also how the teeth, gums, bite, and smile work together.
Dr. Frydman completed his initial dental education at Universidad Intercontinental in Mexico City in 1989. After graduating, he participated in a government program that provided dental care to rural and underserved communities in Mexico.
In 1992, Dr. Frydman completed postgraduate training in prosthodontics at Boston University. He later served as a clinical assistant professor in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Department at the Boston University Goldman School of Dentistry while also working in private practice in Massachusetts.
Dr. Frydman moved to South Florida in 1998 and joined the practice that would become South Florida Dental Care. He became a partner in 2000 and has continued providing restorative and cosmetic dental care with an emphasis on careful planning, function, appearance, and personal attention.
A prosthodontist is a dentist who completes additional specialty education focused on restoring and replacing teeth. This advanced training includes planning and providing treatments involving crowns, bridges, dentures, dental implants, cosmetic restorations, and more extensive rehabilitation.
This background can be particularly valuable when a patient has several missing or damaged teeth, an altered bite, older dental work that needs replacement, or treatment needs across multiple parts of the mouth. Learn more about what a prosthodontist does.
